FROM April 17 to 21, 2024, road and transport stakeholders in Africa will meet in Dubai as part of the 2024 Inaugural Conference of The Africa Road Builders – TrophéeBabacar NDIAYE. It is a major event which is in its 9th edition. It aims to promote developed roads and transport in Africa.
The choice of Dubai is “recognition ofthe extraordinary achievements made by the United Arab Emirates in this area, which can serve as a good example,” explain the organizers. Also, the United Arab Emirates participates in the African Development Fund of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB).
The AfDB is the major official partner of this event which started in 2016. Several other institutions working for the African continent are also expected to participate. There is notably the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) whose head office is in Saudi Arabia and the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK) whose head office is in Egypt.
After Dubai, The Africa Road Builders – TrophéeBabacar NDIAYE will travel to Nairobi (Kenya) for its Final Conference, on the sidelines of the AfDB Annual Meetings, where the prestigious Babacar NDIAYE Trophy which rewards an African Head of State each year will be awarded.
